Research progress: Structure of the C-terminal region of human eukaryotic elongation factor 1Bδ

[2016.1.13] We published a paper on J. Biomol. NMR to report the structure of the C-terminal region of human eukaryotic elongation factor 1Bδ (eEF1Bδ). The C-terminal region of eEF1Bδ is a conserved region in all guanine nucleotide exchange factors and the region contains two independent domains: CAR domain and GEF domain. Although the structure of eEF1Bδ GEF domain is similar to other known GEF domains, there are some detailed differences in the structure which are discussed in the paper. The CAR domain is indpendent to the GEF domain and it's function was discussed as a regulatory domain. The work was a collaborated research wirh Prof. Sarah Perrett, Institute of Biophysics, CAS. Prof. Feng and Prof. Perrett are corresponding authors of the paper. The research is supported by fundings from MOST and NSFC.
