We attended Evonik Meets Science China 2015 Symposium in Beijing during March 22-23. The symposium was held by Evonic Industries, one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies. Evonic has held eighth symposiums in China since 2004, and the topic of 2015 symposium is "Industrial Microbiology". More than handred professors and experts from famous biotechnology institutes and universities in China attended this symposium.

Prof. Qiu Cui, associate Prof. Zhijie Sun, and associate Prof. Xiaojin Song in our group attended this symposium. Prof. Cui give a lecture "Strain Development for Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid Production" which intoduced our reseaches on the strain development and fermentation metabolic regulation for polyunsaturated fatty acid production. Associate Prof. Song presented a psoter "The Efficient Production of Squalene Using Biological Fermentation Method" and won the second prize for posters.
